When the airline’s latest 787- Dreamliner left Everett, Wash., carrying more than 20,000 pounds of humanitarian supplies, Boeing and Ethiopian Airlines recently launched their 40th humanitarian delivery flight. The shipment, including materials for health care and family needs, will be distributed to the Addis Ababa region’s hospitals , clinics and charities.
During these rough and demanding times, Ethiopian Airlines has been actively involved in transporting essential COVID-19 supplies to assist communities.”We are honored that through the Humanitarian Delivery Battle program, Boeing is able to help customers such as Ethiopian Airlines transport vital medical supplies and support their local communities , especially during a challenge as important as the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Cheri Carter, vice president of Boeing Global Engagement. “We are thankful for the ongoing contribution of Ethiopian Airlines to the Humanitarian Distribution Network.”
